FAQ
Solar & Backup Power Questions, Answered
What does a solar or inverter installation cost in Pretoria?+
Cost depends on your load profile, inverter size, and battery capacity. A small backup system differs from a full grid-tied solar setup. Contact us on WhatsApp for a free, no-obligation quote sized to your actual usage — no overselling.
What is the difference between backup power and grid-tied solar?+
Backup power keeps essentials running during load shedding using batteries charged from the grid (and optionally panels). Grid-tied solar feeds excess power back to the grid and cuts daytime usage. We design for both, with SSEG guidance where needed.
Which inverter and battery brands do you install?+
We install trusted inverters including Sigenergy, Deye, Sunsynk, Luxpower, Huawei, Victron Energy, and Atess, with lithium batteries from Hubble, Volta, Solarwise, Deye, Dyness, Freedom Won, Solar MD, and Sungrow. Equipment is matched to your needs for lifespan and deep-discharge protection.
Do I get a Certificate of Compliance (CoC)?+
Yes. Every installation is done to SANS standards and signed off with a valid CoC issued by a registered Installation Electrician. This protects your insurance cover and documents the installation.
How long does an installation take?+
Most residential installations are completed within one to two days after site evaluation, depending on scope. Commercial projects are scheduled around your operational hours.
